The Tea Collection

Born Beneath the Dhauladhars

Our Kangra tea is cultivated in the misty embrace of the Dhauladhars. Here, the high-altitude terrain and ancient soil provide the perfect sanctuary for rare tea plants to flourish, creating a unique terroir that defines the character of every leaf we harvest.

The Art of the Leaf

The Pluck

Hand-picked at dawn when the mountain mist is thick, ensuring only the most vibrant, sun-drenched leaves are selected for our rare Kangra tea.

The Withering

Slowly dried in the cool, high-altitude air of the Dhauladhars. This process allows the leaves to release their essential oils and develop their unique character.

The Rolling

Hand-rolled by master artisans to break down the leaf structure, releasing the aromatic compounds that define the refined, complex flavor profile of our tea.

The Finishing

The final stage of refinement, where the tea is sorted and finished with precision. This meticulous process ensures every leaf meets our highest standards of quality.

Our Heritage

Palampur Delights stands on the foundation of global recognition. Our Kangra tea was first awarded a Gold Medal in London in 1886 and a Silver Medal in Amsterdam in 1895, cementing its status as a premier Himalayan cultivar. Today, we proudly hold GI status in India and the European Union, ensuring that every leaf we harvest is a testament to its rare origin and artisanal excellence.

A refined guide to the art of preparing our rare Kangra tea.

Water Temperature

For our black tea, use water heated to 200°F (93°C). This temperature unlocks the deep, complex notes of the Kangra harvest.

Steeping Time

Steep for 4-5 minutes. This allows the tea to unfurl fully, releasing its earthy, woody essence and the subtle floral hints of the Dhauladhars.

Serving Presentation

Present in a fine ceramic cup. The ritual is complete when the steam rises, carrying the scent of the mountains to your senses.
